Laurel Park Third-Graders Visited Virtually by Science Poet Leslie Bulion
Ms. Franko's third-grade class at Laurel Park Elementary School was greeted by a special guest who was in the classroom through a virtual discussion.
Children's author and poet Leslie Bulion joined the class to discuss her journey into writing science-themed poetry including a special passage from her soon-to-be-released book Galapagos: Islands of Change. The students got the opportunity to speak with Ms. Bulion during the assembly about their own poetry as well as ask her questions about how she became an author and what advice she had for others who wished to follow in the same path.
