Laurel Park Rocks Their Socks for Physical Impairment Awareness
Students and staff at Laurel Park Elementary School purposely wore mis-matched socks to school on Friday as part of BUFSD's Rock Your Socks: Celebrating Differences initiative.
The purpose of the initiative is to raise awareness for different disabilities and impairments. Friday marked the first day of the 2023 calendar year for this initiative, and the theme was to raise awareness for physical impairments.
Dr. Eric Snell, Principal of Laurel Park, gathered some students and staff to show off their brightly-colored socks while also supporting the initiative with a special "P.S.: I Love You" message in cups on the fence of the school grounds.
