Happy First Day of School to All Laurel Students!

The Laurel Park staff were excited to see students arriving and ready to begin the 2022-2032 School Year. New and return students came in to school off the bus and dropped of by there parents. Support staff and teachers helped direct new students to their classrooms and share "welcome back" smiles to returning students. Return students also help their younger siblings and cousins navigate their new surroundings.

Along side staff were New York State Troopers and Suffolk County Sheriff Officers to welcome students on their first day of school. The officers were invited as part of an initiative for Law Enforcement agencies to connect with the community organized and orchestrated by Mrs. Jessica Manzo Torres, Guidance Counselor for Laurel Park & Twin Pines. The officers said Hello by waving, fist pumping and or shaking students' hands. This is the second year in a row that this has occurred. It was organized and orchestrated by Mrs. Jessica Manzo Torres, Guidance Counselor for Laurel Park & Twin Pines.

Laurel Park could not have started the school year as well as kicked off Start with Hello any better. Special Thank you to Sgt. Torres from the Suffolk County Sheriffs office  and Trooper Ahlgrim (E. Farmingdale) who were instrumental in making this happen.
